Book Review

I love the authenticity AJ Watson brought to the table. It takes a lot to just put it all out there and let everyone in on your hardest times.

I found this novel really thought-provoking and enlightening.

Superb writing from Watson and a compelling story while also being informative and helpful to others.

Book Review

Garth Pettersen has a way of writing a plot that unfolds so seamlessly. Everything including the pacing was well executed.

There is so much history and truth to this novel, while incorporating plenty of fiction to add entertainment.

There is a variety of characters and all of them will intrigue the reader from the very beginning making flipping pages that much easier. I love it when I'm invested in a story like I was with this one.

Egyptologist Magdalene Shaffer finds more than antiquities when she discovers a treasure of dragon tears. She escapes a brutal attack with the aid of an ancient god and the magic of the tears.

Maggie takes refuge, as a stow-a-way, in a trade carvan heading to Kismera, home to the Werre. Her escort is Cearan Lionblade, brother to the infamous Ki Lionblade. As they travel to Oralia, Cearan falls for the feisty flame-haired beauty.

His love is tested when Maggie is kidnapped and he must follow her, calling on the power of the lion that lives within him, as he goes into a world full of unknown dangers.

This is a fantasy novel that is not simply action and adventure and fantasy, it is deep and involved the entire way through. There is a lot going on and these characters go through quite a bit over the course of the novel. I enjoyed that fact. I liked how much we got to experience throughout their journey.

I liked the growth the characters showed in this novel. There wasn't any character who seemed stagnate, which was great.

The flow of this novel was well done and I found myself flipping pages quite quickly to keep the story going.

And lastly, the romance was beautifully told and unfolded steadily and believably. I was invested in that part of the characters journey as well.

**Write something worth reading**

I'm Margaret and I'm a self-published author.

Recently I was fortunate in obtaining New York Times best selling status on my YA/NA book - Ugly, and my YA book - Mistrust.

My last three books have been YA and I'm completely in love with the genre. I love being able to communicate with people through my words and stories.

My writing genres all differ, but the one thing I keep consistent is my heroines. All my female lead characters are strong, gutsy and not the 'perfect' woman. While my books all have romantic elements in them, they aren't just about the romance. They're about finding strength, acceptance and making life long connections.

I hope you enjoy my stories as much as I have while writing them.

Malorie first started reading romance books when she was twelve years old.

Her mother handed her a copy of Nora Robert’s Midnight Bayou and with resignation said, “Here you’ll love it, just skip the sex scenes.”

It was the only time she ever got to rebel as a kid, because after that day she spent her entire adolescence (and a lot of her adulthood for that matter) sitting inside devouring every romance book ever written.

Book Tour: Megan the Pet Whisperer by @pamelacfoland

Middle Grade Fiction
Date Published: March 6, 2018
Publisher: Sonny’s Legacy Publishing

 photo add-to-goodreads-button_zpsc7b3c634.png

Megan Thompson is surprised and happy when Dr.Newton, the Veterinarian at the Furry Friends Clinic, ask her to look after Monty, a Capuchin monkey.  Dr. Newton acquired Monty from the local zoo because he was fighting other monkeys. Despite Monty's reputation with the vet staff as being a terror, Megan knows she can win Monty over.   Megan see's the inner workings of a vet clinic, and before the three days are up she wants to help every pet she can.  Unfortunately, the vet staff sees Megan as an annoying little kid not part of the team.  Megan can't bear to hear any more talk about Cooper, a sad Shih Tzu that won't eat his meals. She knows she could help him and others at the clinic if given the chance.  How can Megan earn the staff's trust?  Will she ever be allowed to handle any other pets besides Monty?  Every kid has a summer to which they just want to go back to when they are all grown up. This is Megan's summer, this is the summer when Megan became the Pet Whisperer.

If you are a sucker for animals, this one will be right up your alley. One of the things I like to see in my everyday novel is redeemable characters. I feel like we have a pet who is misunderstood and seen as uncontrollable and in reality he's just misunderstood and needs a specific handler. Enter Megan. I loved their connection, it felt believable and sweet. This is a feel good story.

About the Author

Pamela Foland grew up in Plano, Texas. Her love of animals started at a very young age. As a child, she was constantly bringing home stray dogs, and injured birds. She graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Business in 2005. As an adult, her love of animals has only grown stronger. Pamela has worked in numerous pet hotels as a dog trainer and is certified to teach pet first aid and CPR. All her experience with pets culminated four years ago when Pamela found and raised an abandoned litter of day-old kittens. Not able to part with any of these now-grown babies, Pamela enjoys going home to her ‘little munchkins’ every night. This experience gave Pamela the inspiration for her series debut, Megan’s Munchkins. Pamela will always have a special affinity with Megan, because of their shared experiences. There are few experiences in life more compelling than saving the life of another being.
