Review

I greatly enjoyed this, I liked the Christian themes wrapped in a fantasy. 

The premise was highly imaginative, the characters engaging, and the story inspired. 

I liked that this novel is written for Young Adult readers, but can be enjoyed by all fans of Fantasy.

About the Author

I was born in a sleepy suburb of Houston, Texas, at a time when televisions weren't common in every home, phones had wires, and people surfed only at the beach. I didn't know what I could become, so I watched the world go by. I married my banker boss, had two children, welcomed three grandchildren, and researched a variety of topics such as history, politics, religion, physics, space, medicine, and the human condition. Mostly I like telling stories. I am still in that same town, watching things and telling stories.

John Deaton, Managing Partner of the Deaton Law Firm, is well-established in the legal field. La Salle writes likable characters with layers and depth, and perhaps most importantly, with secrets. 

Interesting story, with an ending that allows for some closure and relief. Although I really wanted more justice in the end - it was a good read!

Fast-paced. Suspenseful. Full of secrets and lies. Interesting, complex, likable protagonist. A highly readable book. Eriq La Salle does everything but disappoint.

Wow, blown away. This was a fast-paced story with thrilling moments sprinkled throughout. 

It was a perfect balance of serious and sweet--and to top it off, it delivers everything it hints at.

I found this overall to be very intriguing and filled with mystery from beginning to end. 

The relationships are so very well fleshed out and they along with the action will keep you hooked and on the edge of your seat. Beautiful writing.
