Review
This is a deep novel. It really delves into multiple serious issues and the author handles telling the stories of all 4 girls effortlessly. I loved that it was a blended novel about multiple characters.
I enjoyed the pacing and plot as a whole. The writing style was very easy to follow.
This is a second in a novel and having not read the first, I didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised with how I kept up. I do want to read the first novel now to see what tidbits I can add to the information I gathered from Blue Sky.
D. Bryant Simmons is an award-winning author and pens realistic fiction that straddles the line between art and social commentary. She is currently hard at work on The Morrow Girls Series, a family saga that spans three generations of women. Simmons incorporates meaty topics, such as domestic violence, addiction, and mental illness into her fiction. She believes novels can act as agents of change and hopes that her writing will inspire and empower women.Contact Linkswebsite
