About the Author

Geraldine Birch has been a newspaper reporter most of her life, having worked for various community newspapers in Southern California and Arizona. Her work included a ten-year stint as a free-lance writer for the Los Angeles Times.

In 1991, she moved to Sedona, Arizona, where she worked as a reporter, editor, and political columnist for the Sedona Red Rock News. Birch’s political column “Gerrymandering,” was awarded a first place national award by the National Newspaper Association.

Her writing has also appeared in the Arizona Republic, the Christian Science Monitor, Opium, Six Hens, and Fiction Attic Press. She is the author of three books, The Swastika Tattoo, a historical fiction; Vision of a Happy Life: A Memoir; and Sedona: City of Refugees, a fictional romance set in Sedona, Arizona

These kind of things make for great finds. You will not regret this purchase. It's equal parts empowering, and full of important elements as it is fun and mindless with the coloring aspect. Such a great idea and wonderfully executed.

Casey Chapman Ross lives in Austin, Texas with her husband and three kids. As her own children learn and grow, so does Casey's passion for educating a young audience on how to become more community-minded, creative, kind, civically engaged humans. Casey believes the more we lead by example, involve our kids in our own passions and activism and educate through art, the more a younger generation will care to get involved. About the Author

Aerle Taree, two-time Grammy award winning co-writer of the hit songs “Tennessee” and “Revolution” with the music group Arrested Development, has expanded her writing talent in the newly published book PoeTaree: The Jurisprudence of Life.

Taree is noted as being a prolific writer. Her other titles are Humanities Matter: The Essay Collection, Molly's Mental Health: Love Me Too, Autobiography of Aerle Taree: Originally of Arrested Development, Coco: The Girl, and, Bettie The Bee: Its A Sin.

It was as a member of that Atlanta-based group that Taree’s writing blossomed, co-writing the hit songs "Tennessee" and "Revolution," (at the request of Spike Lee for Malcolm X: The Movie). During this time, Taree continued her studies at Clark Atlanta University; by the age of 19, she had won two Grammy Awards, two NAACP Image Awards and a BMI Songwriter of the Year Award. Taree’s career with Arrested Development gained her nationwide recognition and awards, including MTV Music Awards, Soul Train Awards, and Rolling Stone Critic Poll’s Band of the Year.

Following her departure from Arrested Development, Taree continued to grow artistically. She has also started her own multifaceted entertainment company in Atlanta called Reality Writings, Inc., one of the newest members of the Universal Music Publishing family. Taree has written her own book of narrative poems entitled PoeTaree: The Jurisprudence of Life. Review

Neat fantasy book in a promising series. The great thing about these kind of books is that even while they are a bit far-fetched, that is the thing that makes them so captivating.

I love the fact that the writing seems focused and on point throughout. 

I enjoyed this imaginative tale and look forward to more!

Having been a life-long fan of Narnia and Middle Earth, Dr. Saunders wanted to create a concrete world with an American base to demonstrate the same truths held by C.S.Lewis and J.R.R.Tolkien.

Inside: Narnia, Asteroid B-612, Middle Earth, Earthsea, and earth. I’ve spent a lot of time in each of these places. Plus a few more. They’re all real, you know, just real in different ways. But there is a Reality that is more important than them all, and I’ve gotten to know Him, too. I’ve been to dozens of countries on earth (on every continent except Antartica) and He has been there. He’s been in many of the other places, too, the places you can only get to through stories. But I’ve seen, in many places, that who He is has gotten bumbled up. So I wanted to create a place where He could be seen for who He really is. The place turned out to be green - at least the sky - and very hard. I used to teach Latin and the word for green, in Latin, started with ‘ver.’ The word for hard started with ‘dura.’ So I decided to put them together to name my place: Verdura. I learned later that the word ‘verdura,’ in Spanish means ‘vegetables.’ I hope the Verdurans won’t hold it against me that they live on vegetables. And I hope Spanish-speakers will understand that I didn’t mean to borrow their word for vegetables and will, maybe, see their way to believing Verdura to be a hard, green planet. Where Reality lives.
