A novella-length fable about young Brian confined to a bare white room with a mysterious illness. Mervyn, a mere house painter, is hired as the only non-abstract artist to paint Brian's room with the realistic scenes now missing from his life in the fantastic, modern yet magical village of Sandstone-by-the-Sea where Witches and Wizards attend the local Chamber of Commerce. Mervyn stuns all with artwork so real he creates a new, and better world. Complications of a satiric, comedic and fantastic nature soon follow as all the tourists only want to have Mervyn do something like that for them, or to visit Brian's room for a fee charged by his father. As these complications climax Mervyn is chased by a mob but paints a figurative and actual storm in which he escapes in a tidy ending that restores order and leaves Brian with an extra sense of wonder....

Memoir Feature: Catch the White Tiger by Tony Assali #blogtour #giveaway #review #memoir #autobiography #rabtbooktours @RABTBookTours

Autobiography/Memoir

Date Published: April 5, 2022

Publisher: Acorn Publishing

In 1970, at the age of 17 and with only twenty-eight dollars in his pocket, Tony Assali flew to America to escape war in his homeland, Beirut, Lebanon. With the intention of establishing a foothold so that he can bring the rest of his family to safety, Tony must find work quickly. Luckily, Tony possesses a special skill: the ability to perceive white tigers, rare and valuable opportunities other people either do not see or are too afraid to pursue. From humble beginnings working in a doughnut factory, to parlaying his charm into a position selling men’s suits by the thousands, Tony fulfills his promise to his family. Then Tony dares to dream bigger, creating a thriving business that makes him a millionaire. But even with these victories, Tony still hasn’t found the white tiger he’s really looking for—the right partner to make his life complete…until a woman he can’t stop thinking about walks into his life. Complications arise, but she might just be the one, and Tony is never the type of person to let an obstacle stop him.

REVIEW
This is a real-life account of someone who came to America with nothing and whose determination and grit allowed him to persevere.
We have people who are set up for success who never accomplish half of what Tony Assali did and thinking about that really puts it into perspective for me.

Assali really lays everything out for the reader. He opens up about the ups and downs and the flow of the writing is very well done.

About the Author

Tony Assali is the president of a well-established escrow company in California and new author of his autobiography, Catch the White Tiger, where he tells his story about growing up in Beirut, establishing life in America, and discovering the keys to success. The debut author has been married for 25 years. He has 4 children, 11 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. On his time off, he enjoys drinking wine, dirt bike riding, board games, and he is a coffee connoisseur. He is blessed to have the Lord in his life, and he thanks Him daily and pays it forward as a born again Christian.

New Adult Feature: Scarlett's Web by Bree McKennedy #promo #giveaway #newadult #romance #rabtbooktours @RABTBookTours

New Adult Romance

Date Published 05-03-2021

Scarlett Camden met her Prince Charming-Harvard bound, Michael, the first week of her sophomore year. Her life went from less than mediocre to something resembling epic. With her new best friend, Jade's help, she managed to transform from the quiet girl no one remembered to the most-envied girl at their private school, Philips Kimball Academy. But things took unexpected turns.

Looks were more than deceiving. Life became unpredictable and unchangeable.

What happened behind closed doors and away from intrusive eyes was anything but the fairytale everyone assumed she was living.

Years later, her past collides with her present life. Once again, her world gets thrown into a whirlwind filled with painful memories, unforgivable crimes of lust, and the loss of hope. Devastation and regrets.

This is the story of first love and loss. Lies and lust weaved into a web too big to escape.

Will Scarlett's web of lies keep her terminally trapped by her committed sins when she was practically a child, or will forgiveness grant her a happy ever ending filled?

About the Author

Bree McKennedy is the pseudonym of a published author that wanted to break out of the cookie cutter world she was writing in. After completing a BDSM trilogy and being begged to continue on, she had to take a mental break. She looked around and saw misery and good intentions that led people straight to the gates of hell. After waking up in the middle of the night, from a dream, the character of Addison evolved.

Bree is happily married to a wonderful and loving man. They have two children and an overly mothering cat. She spends her days with psychiatric patients among the gamut. Her first love will always be healing the sick, nurturing the wounded and showing compassion in the field of nursing. At night, she taps keys on a keyboard or puts a pen to paper creating story lines that will pull someone in on an emotional level.

Bree is a self-proclaimed "lover of the dark and tragic."

Box Set, First 3 Books in the Knights In Time Series

Romance

Date Published: 09-05-2014

Publisher: Books to Go Now

Best-selling series, together for the first time in a boxed set.

Three friends...warrior knights, One battle will change their lives, Love will change their worlds.

HEROES LIVE FOREVER

Elinor Hawthorne has inherited a house haunted by two medieval knights, Basil Manneville and Guy Guiscard. Basil is literally the knight of her dreams. She never expected to “meet” a ghost face to face let alone fall in love with one. Living the normal life together that they’d want is impossible unless fate intervenes.

A lifetime later fate does intervene. Basil, still in love with Elinor, is told her spirit lives on in a young woman. He is given another chance at life to find her.

JOURNEY IN TIME

The budding romance between London attorney, Shakira Constantine, and her client, Alex Lancaster is put to the test when the couple finds themselves torn through time back to the medieval world. It’s a world Alex has a strong connection to, a connection that will cost him his life unless they can find a way to return to this time. Without him, Shakira is condemned to live in a dangerous medieval world alone.

Together they’ll struggle to discover a way back to the modern world while dealing with the political and social intrigues of 14th Century England. The intrigues of that world all too often work against their efforts to get home.

KNIGHT BLINDNESS

Stephen Palmer, a wounded medieval knight finds himself torn through time from the battlefield to the modern and alien world.

Seriously injured, he now must make his way in a world he has no context for and no knowledge about.

Esme Crippen is hired as his tutor. Love is something he does understand and as the two fall into love, they both must overcome the fact the world thinks him mad with his time-travel talk, including Esme.

Review
This series has grabbed my heart. The couple's and families' interaction was totally awesome.
Action/adventure? Yes, lots! Romance? Yep, it has that too!
They had such a feel-good factor that I was absorbed from the start!
The only downside for me is it's hard to track since there are quite a few characters and they bounce around through time. Having said that, I quite enjoyed all of the books.
